Batten Disease is a genetic brain disease which affects previously healthy children with seizures, blindness, loss of motor skills and dementia. Batten Disease is 100% fatal. Rachel von Tungeln was a beautiful girl from Hull who was diagnosed with Batten Disease at age 9. She gradually lost her eyesight and the ability to walk, talk, eat and think. Rachel was the big sister to Julie, London and Boston von Tungeln, daughter of Kat Wasabi. Rachel died in 2017.
